What is Kinesiology?

Origin of Kinesiology

Kinesiology orignated in the early 20th century developed by the orthopedic surgeon Robert Lovett, who first used muscle testing to gauge the extent of nerve damage.  Since then it has evolved into a modality which incorporates both Western and Eastern techniques to encourage the body to heal itself.

The brand I practice, Kinergetics, was created by Phillip Rafferty who was also the founding President of Touch for Health Association of Victoria.

How does it work?

I monitor the body's response by using muscle testing to find and correct any energy blockages/imbalances that are restricting your bodys natural ability to heal itself. By removing these blockages I can encourage your body to return to its natural healing path to relieve and heal any ailments you may have.

Kinesiology takes a holistic approach to the issues we face in our everyday lives, and, more often than not, addresses the entire issue on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.

Benefits of Kinesiology

To put it simply, there is very little that Kinesiology cannot help. There are many benefits to kinesiology - it is a useful tool which:

  • Assists a natural path to physical and emotional health

  • Relieves pain and stress from the very first session

  • Improves hydration, which can often be a root cause of many ailments

  • Clears mental sabotage and suppressed thought patterns

  • Assists in improving flexibility and sports performance

  • Develops your learning abilities, such as memory, through mental integration

  • Improves lymphatic and blood systems

  • Energizes Chinese meridian systems

  • Realigns muscles with the jaw

  • Improves vision

  • Clears the emotions, muscles, and organs involved in chronic conditions

  • Locates and clears subconscious resistance to the body's own natural healing process

  • Can be done by distance

In my years practicing Kinesiology I have been amazed at the results that have been achieved. I have helped people resolve many ailments from nail biting; carpal tunnel syndrome, arthiritis, back pain, gout, fatigue, anxiety, and stress, to name but a few. For tired parents with children who struggle to sleep at night, I have had success through Kinesiology in helping them see the whole night through.

We must, however, recognise that  Kinesiology is not a substitute for medical treatment. I NEVER diagnose, I balance energy. Kinesiology works in conjunction with medicial treatment. When energy is balanced and flows freely the body is able to heal itself.
